I took these pictures of a group of 19 tule elk last night not too far from my house. It was really cool to see elk down in the valley, only a handfull of miles from large cities.

The herd bull is a nice 7 x 7, with cheaters off both sides by his royal tines. He was rounding up his cows, running off the smaller bulls in the group and screaming his head off. Wish I had a tag.
